Question Help, my new truck!

First of all i would like to say that i recently got into truckin. I own a civic si now and im about to get a truck and sell the si. Im thinking F150 but not sure. Dont really know to much about trucks yet. i heard bad things about dodge. Should i get an F150 and what model? i have 17,000 to spend. ALso what are the more popular brands that do aftermarket parts for the F150? Im a newbie here. Thanx for any help.
Truckin is my new game.

Hi Truckin

Unless you really nead leather I woudn't go for the Lariat myself. All the lariat really would offer you is leather and maybee some fancy wheels.

If I were you I would look at a XLT with the sport package, I like the painted front and rear bumpers.I see you live in the south so a 4x4 prob isn't neadesd and that will save you money.

As far as aftermarket acceseries, there are tons of them, Just find a truck you like and research the the mods here on f150online, and I am sure you will find what you like.
