Does anyone know where to get the best deal on a airforce one intake? Also they use a different air filter than k-n, anybody know anything about the filter they use?

I got mine at the same time I ordered my Superchip from Mike Troyer. He gave a discount for ordering through the f150online website and for being registered on it. You might look in the Computer Chips forum on the message board to get his e-mail and drop him a line. I think that the filters are basically the same. The only differences I have noticed are the colors and the K&N filter has a "cap" on the end where the one with the AF1 does not.

Hey terry w 123,

I've had one on for bout 3 weeks and love it. Big shiney tube under the hood and sounds great also. But with a couple of treads bout k&n's coming apart and filters not filtering like they should, I might have one you can get at a great price!

terry, the AF-1 is great - looks good, sounds better. Well made with good directions.
2 things to watch out for:
1. Make sure the filter is on TIGHT.
2. You may need a star inset driver to remove the MAF sensor. At least I did on my 2001

Terry, I really like the AF1! It looks great under the hood with the stainless tubing. I like the fact that it has a support arm in the middle to keep it in place. I don't know how it performs by itself because I installed it and a Superchip at the same time. It was very easy to install. I think it took me about 30 mins to install. If you get one, let us know what you think!

Be extra careful to clean the inside of the tube. Mine had deposits of polishing compound stuck inside the tube.
AirForce One actually warns about this.
I started with a garden hose and then pulled a clean rag through the tube numerous times.
I'm happy with the setup and I purchased it through the online store which is great.
