Engine Shudder...

Funny thing happend on the way home from work yesterday afternoon while sitting at a stoplight.

I had been sitting there for about 20 seconds or so waiting on a green and my truck kind of 'shuddered' for a brief moment. It was noticeable enough that I wasn't sure someone hadn't bumped me from behind...

That stoplight was about 1 mile away from my office and, I'd have to admit, I got out of the office in a hurry without allowing the truck a couple of seconds of 'warm-up' time.

I had to stop about 6 more times on the way home (it's a city commute home) and it never did it again.... bad gas? normal? I drove to work this morning watching/feeling/listening for the same thing and it never did it...

Any thoughts folks? I'd appreciate it!

Shudder

I had a really bad shudder once.. right after i got my truck about a month ago. My CEL light came on along with it though... #4 Cylinder was dead.... but it felt like my driveshaft was falling apart the way it was driving. I am not sure how many miles you got.. but... Just something I guess.. for ya to think about. I changed my #4 plug and it was good after that.

Look for a green residue on top of the back coil pack on your passenger side. If it's there, take the truck in for a coolant leak if it's under warranty. If not, buy the hose clamps at Autozone for $2.00 and put them on the heater lines going right above the pack. That's what caused my bothersome rough idle and power loss.

Well, two days later, it hasn't done it anymore. Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe just one of those freak things.... *shrugs*
