Talking URGENT URGENT URGENT

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The following link is to the Ford press release concerning all aspects of the 2001 F150's. This lists all features, packages, and styles for the F150's. IT ALSO LISTS THE RADIATOR UPGRADE FOR THE TOWING PACKAGE.

DOWNLOAD THIS NOW BEFORE FORD CHANGES IT!

Even if you do not have the wrong radiator I would recommend downloading it just in case.

Well, I have a 2000 built 2001, and it seems as though I got screwed out of the interior changes and the 10 spoke wheels. Wonder if I got screwed out of the HPI engine too...any way to tell? For instance, I don't have the integrated seatbelts or the passanger side lumbar support, etc. Am I out of luck or will they have to change this?

Do the same cut sheets exist for the 2001 Supercrew?

I don't think you should have the 10 spoke wheels unless you have the Sport group.

I've seen many trucks without the integrated seatbelts, but I could never find the correct option where they are included. I just picked a truck with them. Just check the options in the press release and talk to FOrd (dealer or cust. service)

"Opt. on SuperCrew 4x4. Incl. w/94T XLT Sport Group Regular Cab and SuperCab. Req. T5N 17" OWL all-terrain tires."

For the Supercrew, follow this link, and download the full press kit.

For the F150, http://media.ford.com/products/press...section_id=421

I don't think I've seen the integrated seatbelts, but I know mine are a PITA!!! I'd also like to have my lumber for the pass. I haven't noticed any child restraints either, except for the 3 loops under the rear window. I'm also skeptical of the 4.6L HPI upgrade. Hmmm...I think I need more fuel before going the the PITA dealer.

You are correct that the 10 spoke wheels are part of the sport package.

The integrated seat belts were listed as "late availability" and are only available on the SuperCabs since they don't have a B pillar. My truck was built in December at Kansas City and had the new seats.

-Can you tell me about the integrated seat belts please? Are they hooked to the seat instead of the ceiling, like mine is (2001 F-150 built in Kansas in 9/00)???

deep6blue, I saw this in today's paper and couldn't help but think of FoMoCo, Super Engine Cooling, and radiator "facts". This site changes daily. Too late! It's gone. It was a cartoon about two "suits" and a machine called a facts manipulator.

Peter1,
The new style seat has the belts contained in the seat with no roof connection. The shoulder belt comes out of the top of the seat back.

My 2001 catalog lists the seats with integrated belts as "late availability". My truck was built in December 2000 and was only the second or third truck that my dealer had recieved that had the new seats. All the other 2001 SuperCabs on the lot had the old style seat with the roof anchor for the seat belts.

My truck is a Supercab, built on 8/23/00 (check sig.) and I do have the roof anchor, and man, they SUCK!!! Did anyone ever find out how to tell if we have the HPI 4.6L's? I'm sure Ford won't be upgrading our seats huh...oh well, still a nice truck. Did I read right though, that the 02's will come standard with power moonroof and 6 disk changer? DAMN!!!

I filed a safety complaint with Ford yesterday about the Roof mounted seatbelts.

The Insurance Institute test was done w/ Integrated belts, can you imagine it with the roof mounted belts. When the roof buckles up the belt goes with it. This can do some damage to your neck and head!

Please call and voice your mind about this also. (1-800-392-FORD) It is a safety concern!
