Just installed a cold air kit
Hey guys, i'm new here but anyways i just installed a new cold air kit i bought off of ebay..didn't come with any directions but i made do, not too bad for 100 bucks!
anyways there is now a loud sucking sound when the truck is running, i assume this is just more air being drawn into the engine? I hope this is the case, and nothing is wrong because i am sort of new to this stuff and hope everything is alright.

yes it's normal
the factory air cleaner you removed didn't do it because the air filter was encased in an air box to quiet the sound, since the new set up does not have the air box you can hear the air being drawn into the motor.... that noise means power, and less air restriction..
