Thoughts on Amsoil
I was not sure where to post this but i guess it will work here. First, does anyone use amsoil in there trucks? if so how do you like it. i am thinking of switching my entire truck over to amsoil and running their remote dual bypass filter system. what are your thoughts and opinions?

Not to take away from your topic, but man...3 JL 12W3's?!?!?! That must ROCK!!! I have one ported 12W3-D2 in my truck with a Punch 360A2 and my uncle has (2) ported 12W3's in his Ranger. Thinking about pulling the other side of the seats out so I can fit another. Ported is the ONLY way to go with these W3's...I went though 4 sealed ones before going ported.

don't think you can go wrong, amsoil filters and amsoil syn oil is supposed to be best in every oil and filter survey i've read. i am going with mobil 1 myself for filter and oil, only because of cost and they are also rated right up there with amsoil. mobil 1 is easier for me to obtain also.

As an over all product/support/performance I dont' believe that Amsoil can be beat. Though the support part is up to who you buy your product from.
All of Amsoils lubricants are top notch. They are made in small batches and are test and retested to ensure quality and proper specs. I know I have been to the plant!!
As far as filters go. The full flow filters are made by baldwin/hastings. The by-pass filters are made in house.
If you plan to keep you truck for longer that 3 years I feel the by-pass system will more than pay for itself. I am putting it on my truck here shortly, been waiting on a bracket. 2 points I personally like. I can use a bigger filter and I can increase the capacity of the system by 2.5 quarts. So I will be running 8.5 quarts in stead of 6.

I'm on my second change of Amsoil. I Love their product. First thing I noticed was that my engine temp dropped a little. Next is great oil pressure. I'm in the process of trying synthetics in my tranny as well. Lately I've been talking to the tech for Royal Purple. They actually manufacture it where I live and I can get it with not frieght involved. But as far as I'm concerned nothing but synthetics for me.
