Post Locating PCV valve

I've got a 1987 F150 6 cyl. and can't locate the PCV valve. The diagram in the Haynes manual is vague at best.

Usually they come out of the valve cover directly. Then a hose to the underside of the carb. Look for like a 1/2" rubber hose coming out from under the carb. You may just have a breather cap and no valve at all, but I doubt that. It's for emissions and even in 87, they had a ton of stuff on them.

Thanks for your input. I found it, way in the back of the engine kinda on top, just followed the 1/2 inch hose. What a place to put it, I had to climb on top of the engine to get to it.
