Cleaned Engine (water) and now stalls and backfires

Guys, do not waste any more time. Been there and done that. Yes I agree, DO NOT WASH THE ENGINE WITH WATER! Well, for those of you that are here after the fact, the first thing you need to do is remove all your coils one by one and dry the coils and also with air pressure blow out the spark plug chamber. Chances are you will have some water built up in the chambers causing the sparkplugs/coils to misfire. Careful when blowing air into the chamber as it will come right back at you. Wear goggles. I thought I had damaged the PCM (computer) but fortunately it was only water in about 4 of the eight chambers. Dried them all off and the engine is purring like a cat. Good luck!

And we're STILL waiting for the OP to tell us what the dealership found! OTOH maybe Goober is still trying to figure it out.

Yeah, and Goober was right on the verge of figuring out the Codes are the symptom of a problem - not the cause! https://www.f150online.com/forums/v8...tml#post670485
