I have a '97 F-150 XLT Supercab with the 4.6L V8 but I am thinking of getting a 2002 SCrew with the 5.4L V8. My '97 has the K&N FIPK for that model engine and I wanted to know if I could put that same FIPK on a new '02 5.4L?? If this won't work, is there a particular K&N FIPK one should use on an '02 SCrew with a 5.4L? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

K&N uses the same kit for 4.6ltr./5.4ltr engines. Yes, the 4.6 FIPK will be compatable with your 5.4. The only difference is where you connect your air bi-pass valve. I believe that the 5.4's have an idle vent or somthing of that nature. In your kit there should have been the correct hose adapter w/ hose clamps.

contact K&N they will send you a new schematic.
