Post High flow Y pipe 2nd

Thanks for input!!!
Does high flow pipe come mandrel bent or bent with the old style bender? Also are they stainless and go all the way to the new cat back muffler connection?

peties3,

i did the replacement on my 4.6. from all the looking i did, online, and calling local shops i could find nothing pre-maid that was stainless. i ended up going to a shop in pennsylvania (via web page) and having them make one for me.

it was double the price of the aluminumized ones i saw on other sites. i went with it anyway, and am glad i did. if you want i can dig up the address for the site. guy there was real nice and he had my part to me in about a week or so.

Cool

peties3- The additional pipe required to install the Y-pipe can be purchased in aluminized steel or stainless steel. Most custom muffler installers do not own mandrel presses though. The most critical piece is a 90 degree bend that curves the driver's side pipe back toward the rear of the vehicle. If you purchase a universal mandrel bent 90 and take it to the shop, the other fabrications are very simple with few bends. The stainless steel one will not be on hand at many shops.

peties3,

the web address is autowizz.com

the phone number 877-672-2347, they are in greenville pa.

the pipe that i got from them went to the cat back. i am not sure if this place is a 'one man shop' or not, but the person i spoke to there was real nice guy. i think i actually spoke to the guy that made the y-pipe.

peties3,

I bought my high flow cat/y-pipe online from the Truck Performance Center. It is made by Bassani and is 3" dia. stainless steel. It looks great and fit good with the JBA shorty headers and Gibson cat back. I think I paid about $300 for it. I figured why do the headers and catback and still have a restriction in the middle? I'm glad I did it.
