Post Off Topic-Price on new truck, what do ya'll think?

Well after all the problems I've had with the manual tranny on my f150, it's time for a new truck. I'm looking at a Chevy 2500HD Extended cab. I know, I know...some of ya'll will hollar about ford's being the best and I used to think so until all of my problems. So here's the price I got quoted on the truck :

02 Chevy 2500HD Extended Cab LS
4x4 with electronic shift on the fly
4 Spd Auto
Short Box
Power everything inside w/ manual telescoping towing mirrors
6.0L V8 and 4.10's on each axle.

$26,900 off the lot w/ 0% 3year financing

What do ya'll think of that? Anyone heard better or worse prices?

Wow man, sounds like a smooth deal to me....then again I live in AZ and Im not sure how our truck market compares to yours. I know that sounds like a smokin price for this area. Hope you get into something you like, its no fun havin a truck youre not in love with

Oh, try autotrader.com and see what kinda prices it pulls up for the same vehicle..

Well howdy there partner. That sounds like a good deal to me as I have been pricing Chevy's and Fords. I get the X plan pricing which is just a tad under invoice. I have driven several Fords and Chevys and I think that GM has some good engines and transmissions but I don't think that the GM's are screwed together as tight as the Fords. Also Ford seems to use a higher quality interior trim. Hey just my opinion I could be wrong. I have heard good things about the Chevys,a buddie at work just bought a 2002 Chevy 2500 HD. He really likes it. He had 175000 miles on his 93 Z71, and it still ran good.
