Mine too!! Supposed to be done by this Friday. We'll see Was originally supposed to be just a second head gasket but turned out the oil was coming from the intake manifold. When it was removed it was full of oil. So, they are swapping the engine with a FQR. Anyone out there had the 5.4 FQR for a while? What has been your experience with it.

ROAD TRIP!

I can hear you, but you are getting a new motor and putting miles on their car. Heck, tell them you need a truck to haul things. That is why you bought a F150 and see if they will loan one of them out. I would almost demand it actually.

I asked for a rental truck for the Memorial Day weekend. They told me they cover up to $25.00 a day, that's it. So I was given an Escort up till the weekend then picked up another F-150 for the weekend. Cost me $20.00 per day( they paid the first $25.00). Truck was dropped off on the 17th. Supposed to be done by today or tommorrow. They pulled the motor on 29th and already had the FQR.

UPDATE: The guy working on it is out sick the rest of the week. Won't be done till Monday. I've almost forgot what she looks like!!!

well i spoke to soon
they called this morning and i went to pick it up
meant to write 3 weeks!
but that is from initial drop off to now

and they did give me a truck a 2001 F150 supercab only difference was it was a 4.6 and wasnt a lariat
i drove the hell out of it
including loading my 4 wheeler in it to go to sandhills memorial day and twice on other occasions
went down some trails in it

oh and i got a new motor not a fqr

they even replaced the abs sensor after i flat out told em i accidently hit it when lowering it

they didnt fix the exhaust leak though
it was in front of the area where the muffler is but i had a flowmaster put on it

i wish i would of tried convincing them to let me pay the extra for a lightning motor though......
i didnt have to pay for it though it was a courtesy car because we are on their VIP list

Thumbs up

I just turned 10K on my FQR. So far everything has been great, no tapping no problems, period. I waited a total of 2 weeks to get my engine replaced once it was ordered. The dealer had my truck only for 2 days (dropped of before open on day one and picked up after close on day two). I had to go back the next day and they replaced the MAF since if was not functioning correctly, but that was it.

I told my service tech that there have been others that have received new motors. He told me that it depended on whether Ford had FQR's in stock.
