Joe,

Did you get my email ?

Just wanted to know if you were on with them, or if I should shuffle them off to the next in line.

Thanks

I made a tool very similar to Ted's with a scrap piece of metal. My fat fingers made it hard to get the bolts started, so I went to Ace Hardware and bought a couple of metric hardened studs. Used a pulley bolt as a sample at the hardware store. Worked great. $1.80 for the studs.

You can get that fan clutch tool at Advance Auto from AMpro for about $15. Works on 2.3, 3.0,4.0,4,6, etc. To me it's worth the money but making the tool and doing it for free is the smart cheap way, I just never have any extra pipe laying around. It gives you a sense of pride when you can fix/modify/fabricate something yourself.
