10w-30 vs 5w-30

Post 10w-30 vs 5w-30

is there a big diff between the 2??

I noticed the guys at the shop were using it in my truck and the manual says 5w-30, they told me that's just a tad thicker..

what do you guys think?


p.s. I use pensiol synthetic

you'd better make them use 5w30 in the winter time---those small bearing clearances our engs. are supposed to have(i've never measured them) will need the "5" weight then.
