I have a 96 XLT Explorer, iwas pretty sure i had around 200hp till today, dad came in with another V6 and i popped the hood, it said 4.0 SOHC, mine has 4.0 EFI, but the thing i wondered about was acceleration, both are 4x4, the same size (no sports), but i beat him so i´m not sure if i have the OHV, also mine sounds better(no exhaust, just engine sound) both are completely stock, but mine sounds stronger like it was more rude

 

You have the OHV. It is rated at 160 HP. The SOHC was introduced in 1997.
