Need help with my 4.0. Check engine came on the other day(still runs great),so I go to Auto-Zone,they tell me on that code it was a Evap.canister purge valve.Had to buy it at the Dealer,put it on light came back on in a couple miles. Checked again,same code again.Vac lines look and good and everything is hooked up and Gas cap is tight.This is a 97 Ranger xlt ext cab with 64,000 miles,thanks alot

 

its common on those. ford sells a replacement assmy. the canister vent sol. and the purge flow sensor. all as one replacement part. you can test each one. but sence you did the sol. you need to replace the purge flow sensor. its inline next to the sol. good luck.
