Anyone using Power Pulleys?
Just wondering if anyone here has tried the power pulleys that are for sale here on the online store? Any noticeable gains? Installation tips?
Explanation of theory behind them?

Yup, people here have tried them. The best thing to do is do a search on the message boards for "power pulleys". That should bring up a bunch of discussions that should help you out.

The theory behind pulleys is simple, and one that works on every test I've ever seen. They simply slow down the speed that all of the engine accessories spin at, thus reducing parasitic loss.
The only concern for some lies in reduced alternator and/or water pump speed causing problems. Those running high power stero systems or doing extreme towing might have a problem.
I've had Ford Racing pulleys on my '95 for about two years with no problems. The charge drops at idle enough to slow the fan down when the AC is on at night with the lights on. As soon as I come off idle the charge is back up to normal. I do some heavy hauling and towing in stop and go with our summer temps fairly high, and haven't had any cooling concerns.
