AJRAGNO.......Help!

Hello!

I will go soon into battle with a Ford rep to get him to deal with the Head Gasket/Engine Trouble on my 1997 4.2 V6. I can positively call it battle because here in San Juan, PR most Ford dealers will not help you with a problem unless the Manager WANTS to help you. My sister's husband went through a lot of trouble just to get the manager to grant him the Firestone tires
recall on his Explorer, believe it or not. Guess who gets the help right away... people who make the most $$$$, or are friends with the Manager.

Anyway, I was kindly asking for your help on how should I approach the problem. What should I mention, what should I not mention, what info to take with me, what points should I make clear that should be my best defense...etc. and what should I expect.

I saw the trouble he went through just to get the Firestone recall, so I wouldn't be surprised if the guy at Ford puts a 9mm gun to my head to tell me to go away as soon as I mention the problem (ha,ha, not exactly a joke).

Thanks in advance.

Robert

One way

The best way that I deal with things is NEVER go in guns blazing. Best example If I talked to you with a rude tone would you ever do anything for me? Of course not. Do not go in there like you know everything about everything. Just simply state what you think is wrong with the car and tell them that. I always tell them, Hey you guys are the experts that is why I brought it to to ...ie humble. If you feel that you are not getting anywhere go up the food chain...EVERYONE has a boss. Most important stay calm. and detail exactly what you expect. I e i need a car that does not leak oil, leak radiator fluid, have a knocking sound. ect ect. Best of luck
