Angry OBD-II scan tool - Getting a STEADY light ?????

I hooked up a OBD-II scan tool to the connector and I'm getting a steady light ? Ford said it maybe a bad ground! Any suggestions????

What all can the scan tool do?
and how much does it cost?

It looks like what you have is "not" and OBD II Scan Tool.

The cheapest one I have seen was $149.00 and it provides a number for the bad code if any are present.

I will try to get the brand and part number but, I have seem them at AUTOZONE stores in this area for $149.00.

The J C Whitney scanner referenced above looks to be an OBD scanner; not an OBD-II scanner.

The OBD II scanner is made by Actron model CP9035F or CP9035 and Autozone is the store I saw them at $149.00.
