Post Going to the track to run my truck tonight!!

I'm taking my truck to the track for the first time; I'll be doing the 1/4 mile at the track in Gulfport, MS. I'll find out how accurate my G-tech Pro meter is and how much my mods have helped. Does anyone know what a bone stock '97 4.6 supercab XLT w/ the 3.73 rear end should do in the quarter; I'd like to have something to compare my times to. I'll post my results later.

------------------
'97 F-150XLT extra-cab w/ 4.6L Windsor and auto.
Superchip!
K&N filtercharger
Jett underdrive pulley
mild shift kit
K&N cat-back exhaust
Future plans:
4.6 to 5.4PI head swap
Dynomax headers
supercharger (haven't decided which one, yet)

Haven't started the head swap yet; I just got all the prices together and found where I'm bringing it to get the work done. I'm getting some 4.10 gears put in next week. Next will be electric fans, then headers, mass airflow, and then I'll stregnthen the rear end and trans. to get ready for the heads. I ran a 16.759 last night w/ my 4.6L, which I was pretty satisfied with since the 5.3L Chevys were running about 16.7 and 16.6. I did about 8 time trials (there weren't many cars there and it was my fist time racing at a track) and only raced 2 vehicles that I would ever really consider racing; an early '90's model Chevy truck and a fairly new Eclipse. I beat the truck by a couple of 10ths (he had a couple of mods on his, too) and the Eclipse beat me, although my time was actually faster (my reaction time just plain sucks). Everything else I went against was a 13sec. or less vehicle. It was very fun though and my truck is able to hang w/ the vehicles I thought it could. I have no idea what the specifics were on the weather so I can't give any corrected times.

So how far off was the G-Tech meter? I have heard they are not that accurate.

The G-tech meter had my 1/4 mile time as 2-3 tenths slower, but my trap speed about 3-4 mph higher!
