Good old OEM filters from the Ford dealer on a regular basis. I've read some of the same things about dust filtering and the amount of gravel raod driving I do in the summer just makes me feel a little queasy about the K&N. Not that I haven't thought about it - just haven't felt the need. Good luck

Unfortunately Amsoil does not have a foam filter for the F150. So there really is no other brand of air filter for the F150 right?????
So I guess K&N is the way to go! I have it on my truck for over 2 years. I love it!

Here is a quote from Terry Dyson who specializes in oil analysis.
The air filter is the single most important item in life and health of your power plant because you must intake gobs of clean air to function. I would be more concerned about contaminate ingestion destroying the upper end of the engine more than depleting the oil. By the time the dispersants or oil filter could trap the particles they've already sand blasted very delicate ports, valves, plenum, air flow sensors, etc. Terry
We all know that you can't have the best of worlds, High Air Flow and Dirt stopping air filter. Even K&N stated as the dirty the air filter gets the better it filters.
Also please read the thread you started here on F150.

All I trying to do is help people understand that you can't have the best of both worlds and their is a chance of getting more dirt inside the engine using K&N.
