Post 4.6L s/c

Who has a s/c on his/her 4.6L? What brand did you go with? Did you have you truck hooked up to a dyno with it? How much hp and torque did you get? Please post a pic of it installed if you have one.

There is a huge thread on the Magnacharger with pictures. It is about 3 pages long with lots of info. Do a search on Magnacharger under engines. Good luck!

Crash: kind of hard for me to get it installed by you since you live in Texas and I live in Washington. How much do you sell them for and what would shipping be? Do they come with the intercooler or is that seperate? Can the pulley(s) be changed so I can get more boost?

I just put a ford svo supercharger on my 97 4.6 4x4. It took about eight hours and a few curse words. It was fairly straight forward to install and the only problem I found was in the adjusting idler. It doesn't line up with the belt the way it should- now I have to buy a belt and shime the pully out. (Not really a big deal) The ford supercharger is made by powerdyne which is one of the reasons I bought it. The local powerdyne dealer had a similar truck on his dyno and made about 300 hp at the rear wheels, he then put an adjustable fuel regulator and got another 17 hp. I don't get how he made another 17 with the regulator and either does the local hot rod shop. Either way I am dusting stangs and the kit costs $1999. It is a centrigal charger and doesn't make maximum boosts until about 41oo rpm which can be a good thing for your driveline seeing that you have and 8.8 rear end. Hope this info helps.
