Post exhaust

Hello everybody. I am new to the site, although, I have been reading all of the info for awhile. My question is about headers and exhaust. First I am going to get a set of JBA headers and was wondering if anybody taped them, and if it is recommended or not? Second, I am looking at installing a Y-Pipe and was wondering if I should keep the 2.5" pipe or go to a 3" pipe. Also, my truck has 101,000 miles on it and I was wondering if it would be a good idea to replace the cats. I believe it has two, and two pre-heaters. Thank you for any advice. Love the the site and look forward to chatting with people.(will create sig later)

I have true duals with factory size pipe. Had it custom made at a mufler shop. I had it cut before left and right came together and went back from there. Have an 18" glasspack on each with the pipes exiting out the back. Only have 57.7k so I don't know about replacing the cats.

iaf150,
About taping the JBA's, JBA recommends not to do it and they will void their warranty if it is done. Better to get jet black coating.
