Question Change Fuel Filter @ 15,000?

Hey Guys,

My truck is at the dealer today getting the bigger radiator installed and the service writer asked if I wanted them to change out the fuel filter. I've got a little over 15,000 miles and I thought the filter change interval was around 30,000. I told him no thanks. Should I call him back and have him do it? Cost was quoted at $46.00.
Thanks

You can do it yourself if you feel handy.

Hey King Otis,
I change my oil filter every six months. Regardless of the miles I have on it.

FordFaithful,

Do you mean the fuel filter, or the oil filter. Oil - 3000miles/3 months. Fuel - 30,000 miles/2 years.

My bad. I thought we were talking oil filter... It's early here in Denver, haven't had my coffee yet.

I suggest doing it yourself, did mine a couple weeks ago it cost about $10 total for parts (including the plastic fuel line tool). It only took a couple of minutes.
