Post PCM code readout on odometer?

I had read once where you could do some button pushing to get codes or readouts on the digital odometer of the newer trucks. I can't seem to find that thread. Can someone point me in the right direction and I'll print it out this time.

Thanks

I remember seeing a whole document that described all the various values you could read etc. I just can't find that document.

Hi

Forgot where its been posted? I got all the info, except where i got it from It does work on my 99SC

Push in ODO reset button,& hold down.

Turn ign.key forward 1 click-dont start eng.

Things will start happening, watch ODO read out for "test". It goes fast-so watch carefully. Push "once" for each test mode.
Interesting, eh???

Just pust button for each test. when you get to tac (tachometer) leave it there,(release button) start engine, watch digital readout on rpm. Of course thats just one feature.

When you turn eng. off ODO reverts back to normal. If you have mileage on ODO you will loose it when you go into test mode, but even in test mode, mileage is counted, even thou you dont see it. I t will be there when you switch back.

Have a good one OT

This is for Mustangs but I think it is the same for our trucks, not sure about oil press. http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/fcar/dtcodes.htm

Exclamation

I just read somewhere in another thread (sorry, don't have the link) that, with the key in the off position, press the trip button on the dash and hold it in while you start your truck. You can now (hopefully) scroll through the various read-outs by pressing the trip button. This "test mode" is reset by turning the key off.

Thumbs up

You're right..it works just like the Mustang. I didn't see the Oil Pressure one though. I just tried it on my Screw.
