My 2001 SCREW should be in in around a month or so and wondering about the 5.4. who has high miles on their 5.4 and what kind of problems (if any) have you had?

I have seen where it was rated one of 10 best. I plan on putting about 10,000 miles a year on it and hope to keep it for a long time. I will maintain it religiously. Plan on using 5W-20 motorcraft oil until Mobil 1 decides to come out with 5W-20 in tri-synthetic. Plan on 3 months/3,000 mile intervals.

I just bought a 98 5.4 with 122,000 on it.
The engine is running great, i.e., no oil leaks, no oil burning, quiet, a real joy to
listen to and drive. I'm looking to put another 200K on it at this rate.

I bought my 98 truck with a 5.4 in Nov. of 97. It has 155,000 miles on it. I use mobil 1 5/30 6 qt. 8 oz. dynosurge and mobil 1 filter every 7,500-10,000 miles And it has the SLAP but I am glad I stuck with it runs strong just a little nosie first thing in the moring I hate that .
