Post My Truck Is In The Shop

Well today is my birthday, and I went over to a friends house. I am leaving there this afternoon and I turn my truck on and drive about a block, and I start hearing this loud noise coming from my engine so I decide to pull over and turn it off. I turn the enging off and I still keep hearing this loud noise in my engine, and I am a few blocks from home so I get it there. When I am home I open the hood up and see if maybe a belt was loose or the fan was hitting something.

I wound up making sure everything was tight and started it again and still heard the noise, so I turned it off, and at least this time when I turned it off it didn't continue to make the noise. Now I fill it up with gas cause I was very low, and then have my dad look at it with me for a bit, and I try turning it on, and it won't click over so I have a bad cellanite or starter now.

I am taking it to the shop tomorrow and this will be covered, but I am hoping this is nothing serious. My truck only has 13,000 miles on it. I think part of the problem was that my starter got jammed and kept firing which blew out the starter and was the reason it wouldn't start anymore but I am still trying to figure out why I kept hearing the noise when I turned the engine off cause it shouldn't of been firing then. I hope this is nothign serious but has anyone else ever encountered this problem and do you guys have any thoughts on what it could be.

Thanks
