Question How long to install FIPK?

Hi all,

I just received my K&N FIPK today and am planning to install it this weekend. However, I want to ensure I budget enough time to do this. Could anyone give me a rough idea about how long I can (realistically) expect? Also, any tips on making this process go as easy possible would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

It shouldn't take you more than an hour or so to install. The directions are good except I found it easier to attach the silicon hose to the intake BEFORE attaching to the throttle body and the MAS. Just take your time and make sure everything is tight. You may also want to check the inside of all the openings on the intake for hanging shreds of plastic. I dressed mine up with a file before outting on the hoses, and then ran a rag through to remove all dust and debris. Your going to see an immediate boost in power, and you'll enjoy the sound too! Enjoy!!

Hey, it should take you about 30 minutes or so, give or take. I just advise you to go through everything before starting and follow the directions.

Snyper has a good point. Install the hoses to the instake BEFORE mounting it to the TB. It took me about an hour to do it.

Snyper,
Great advice on attaching the silicon hoses first. I just installed a K&N FIPK on my truck and doing so definitely made it easier.
Thanks!
