Does anyone have a SuperDuty or an Excursion?

I was wondering how good (I should say Bad) the mileage is?

I'm looking into buy an Excursion and any other comments are welcome as well

Thanks

I have a 2000 F250 Super Duty with the 3.73 gears, 4x4 ORP, super cab, longbox, and auto trans. When I first bought my truck I was getting around 9 mpg. As the engine broke in the mileage went up to 10-12 mpg. After 3000 miles I switched over to synthetic lubricants and my mileage increased to 14! I was amazed and thought that I must have miscalculated, but I am consistently getting 14. I always buy gas at the same station and have re-checked the mileage many times. I was extremely suprised to say the least... especially when you consider that I live at 9600ft altitude and commute 100 miles round trip into Denver every day. I expected that driving up the mountains every day would kill the mileage. Definately the synthetics helped a lot. Good Luck.

P.S. My wifes F150 w/5.4 only beats me by 1 MPG.

Thanks, I'm impressed with the difference the synthetic's made as well, I'll keep that in mind.

Thanks again.
