Angry check engine light

i have a 1997 f-150 4.6.....i recently installed an airmax intake and a flowmaster exhaust w/3" mandrel bend pipe. Ever since i installed these 2 items my check engine light came on. My truck seems to be running fine. I took it to a Ford dealer to have a diagnostic ran to find my problem. For some reason they were unable to find anything. Also, soon after i had the exhaust installed , everytime i would come to a stop my truck would try to die and sometimes would die. So, the Ford dealer boosted my idle to keep it from stalling.....my check light is still on and they can't seem to find the problem. I even tried to reset the computer....the light will go off for about a day and then come back on. Can somebody please help me?, i have no idea what to do.

Sounds like a a bad ordeal! I doubt that the Flow and intake are the problem, if properly installed ( throttle body spacer must be put on correctly, air temp sens., MAF sen., etc.).

Bad gas could be a possibility???

Faulty EGR valve???

is your exhaust cat. back or did you mess with the cats.?

I hope it all works out for you.

The Ford dealer is responsible for any defects with mechanical parts, and they cannot void your warrenty for putting on an intake or exhaust. So, make sure they fix you truck!!!

good luck!
