I changed my 99 f-150 over to Mobile 1 at 10,000. When i changed it I noticed the color of the cap on the oil was blue. (5w-30w) When I went for my next change, I noticed when I went to buy more,they had some that had a silver cap.(also 5w-30w) My question is, whats the difference ? Is there any ? They both said Mobile 1, 5w-30w.

 

I thought the silver was 0W-30, the blue is 5W-30, green is 10W-30, and the red was 15W-30, all tri-synthetic Mobil 1.
