To chip....or not to chip????
Is the 250+ dollars really worth handing out for a superchip? I know its cool as hell to say you have a chip uderneith the hood, but is the overall performance a good enough improvment to actualy buy and install one?
Everyone that has them loves them
but for me I don't what to pay for the premium gas
plus I hardly ever get to open it up in traffic
they say you get better mileage but so do I
if I do run premium gas
we all spend our money differently
I kind of see it as, yes it might help a little but I'm still not going to beat
a lightning.

On a computer controlled vehicle, this is the first place to start. It provides twice the HP per $$ as a similarly priced FIPK or cat-back. If you like the performance of your vehicle, don't want to run premium, or could care less, you don't need one.

I kind of believe that running on premim might do damage to the engines life. Our trucks are made to be ruat 87 octane. I really don't know what premim will do in the long run. Also you will be paying alot more money in gas over a year period. Another problem to consider is will it void the warranty. now everyone says they have to prove that the part caused the problem. How hard is it for them to prove it. Obvisiouly not very hard and who are we to say that the chip didn't cause the problem. If you have a serious problem they are going to look at computer and see its running with chip and void your warranty. Also another problem with the chip is there is no refund on it unless it is defective.

Thanks for all the info. I drive about 200+ miles a week for work so I'm looking for ways to improve my mpg ( but isn't everyone?). The actual speed performance is not that important to me because if I wanted speed I would have bought a sports car. I dont go off-road with it, but it is my main mode of traval so what ever I do it will have to keep it dependable.
