97 f-150 skips bad when taking off from a light. mostly between 1800-3000 RPMs. the check engine light is not on and its been doing this for some time now.

 

If it feels like your truck is missing, the most common cause is defective plug wires. Remove your wires, shake them a bit and re-install them. If the problem is worse, replace the wires. If not, then your plugs could be finished. If you have the coil on plug ignition system, replace the plugs first. If none of this helps, you may need to seek professional help. Have fun, GlennMc.

 

change out your plugs and if the miss is still there then go after the wires and if it,s still there then ohm out your coil packs,my #4 coil pack went bad and i went with the msd on both sides with wires and now it screams....yyyyeeeehhaaaa
