Question Smokes at start up (sometimes)

My 2000 F-150 4.6l smokes every once in a while at start up,, mostly after its been sitting for a couple days.. It has 40,000 miles on it , don't notice no oil loss.. Think I could use some new plugs or take out my superchip then reinstall it??? Any help would been great
THX

A little smoke every "blue moon" is normal. I've had it too on rare occasion and have no oil loss. Don't worry about it unless it happens all the time.

I know the feeling, mine will do the exact same thing. I have 41,000 miles on my 4.6l. Sorry, I do not have an answer why. Maybe someone else will....

I think it is normal. My father has a 97 4.6 w/ 139,000 mi and it occasionally smokes at start up, but deminishes with no oil loss. It just happens--I think. I have a 4.6 w/ 10,000 mi. and no smoking, but lots of condensation and steam.

My 99 did this for a while. I drive mostly in the city. After I made my last road trip, it stopped entirely.
