I ask this question while responding to another members post but thought I might get a better response asking it on it's own.

Does anyone know of a module,programmer or chip that will over ride the top end speed limiter on the 1997 4.6 engine.

I can tell you that Hypertech programmer won't and jet module won't.

P.S. This forum has really grown up since I last was a member back in early 1998. It use to just be a mail list. Kudos to the developer of this forum.

 

The superchip does over ride that limit. It also helps you out a whole bunch. Go to the aftermarket forum under chips and start reading, follow the guy named Mike Troyer, he's very helpful.
