Break In For Rebuilt???

I just had a Ford REbuilt engine installed in my truck and I was wondering if I should follow some sort of Break In Period for the engine or not? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Also do they have to change the transmission fluid when they swap those engines out. I do not want to change it if they just did. Thanks.

Scott

Yes, you should be careful for 500-1000 miles. No, they don't normally change the tranny fluid.

Scott,

Did you end up paying for the engine, or did Ford take care of some or part of the cost???

I say take it easy for about 1,000 miles.
