Does anyone race their F150?
Does anyone race their F150?
I didn't know what forum to put this in, but I was just curious to see what kinda 1/4 mile times people were getting. I ran my '99 Extended cab XLT (5.4L) down the track on several occasions and bone stock w/ no filter it went 15.7 @ 84.5mph. With paper filter it went 15.9 @ 84ish. Now with just the K&N replacement it goes 15.7 still. I didn't think that was too bad. Also went 9.998 in the 1/8th

Chaka, we would need to know more about your truck then, maybe we will let you be that fast.
If it is a Supercab, it will be a little slower due to weight.
If it is a 4x4, it will be slower due to
weight, height, tire size.
If it is a Supercab 4x4, it will be so slow you can't respond to this because you haven't got home yet.

it's an extended cab I believe, the one with the two smaller doors w/ nothing done to it. (YET)

I have a 5.4L with the below mods.
I would be happy if I ran high 15's considering that Mine is a 4x4. Once the below mods are completed I hope to be running low 15's. I will tell you how I do when I actually get brave enough to race this thing...

Never done a timed run, but have several stop light runs against those annoying "Ricer" types of vehicles and do ok. Only been beat once, and I'm sure he had NO2 going.......
Hey Chaka, I wasn't trying to be rude but, that doesn't matter.
If you think I was rude then I apologize.
Now I have enough information to answer your original question.
You have the same truck as Micah(the first post) so, you should expect it to perform the same. One thing that could impact on your numbers is the weather. I suspect Micah ran in optimum conditions and could not expect to do any better.
My best time was in October when it was cooler.
When I ran in July, I was 4 tenths (.4) slower.
It only costs $10 or so to run down the track as many times as you want. It is fun. You will know what your truck can do.
Then when other people come here and ask about it,
you can be rude to them.

In any case, I'm looking for a track around the north Dallas area. Does anyone happen to know where the racing scene is around here? I've got some spare time and some spare money, plus I'm going to be working vicariously on a friend's truck
This information might come in handy ...
