I have a 92 4.9...my check engine light has been coming on eversince I got it back from the bodyshop after an accident. The codes keep coming back with the EGR, I've replaced that and just got done replacing my thermostat, since it wasn't working and allowing the engine to get to temp. I took it for a test run, and the damned light still came on. I just replaced my alternator last night, so I had the battery disconnected for about an hour so I was wondering if it has to relearn the settings. If anyone has had anything like this happen please let me know...I'm going nuts.

sure u got the right codes for egr problem and not a hard fault code ?

I'm not sure what the trouble codes where...I had the garage check them...starting to wonder. Yeah, I'd take a Bimota too, but I don't have 30 G's laying around...

Hey Thor, what do you think of the supercharger on your engine? I have a 93 with the 4.9 and i'd like to get a bit more power out of it but was unaware of any supercharger kits for this engine. Where did you have it installed/how much did it cost? Thanks.
