Need advise on gauges.
I need some advise on some gauges. I was planning on replacing my fan with a electric one (probably with one out of a crown vic). But before I do that I would like to install some real gauges. I like the setup with them on the pillar. So I will probably get the autometer { www.autometer.com } ones.
What type of meters are most people running? size? and what meters (oil pres. oil temp?...). Is there any place that I could look to find some installation instructions.

btw I was thinking three gauges, oil pressure, oil temp, and water temp. Do you think I should get the tranny temp instead of the oil temp? thanks

HI!... ROCKETIR : I would definately forget about the OIL TEMP guage and go for the TRANS TEMP guage. On these trucks the TRANS temp guage is the most important guage to keep your eye on, in my opinion. Make sure you go with MECHANICAL guages, and not ELECTRICAL ones. Electrical guages are not very accurate. The AUTOMETER guages come with very imformative and detailed instructions, so you should be o.k. If you need any more info on this, just feel free to ask me what ever you need to know.
