So, i was looking around under there over the weekend. I noticed that there aren't any plug wires, or boots, or plugs that i can see for that matter. Are they under the valve covers? It's a '98 5.4.

 

Find the chrome fuel rail to the fuel injectors. Just below it and right next to the injector is a round gizmo that's plugged into another wire harness. That's the Coil on Plug setup these things have. Plug is about 3" below that. There is a 7mm hex head screw that holds the coil on.
