throttle cable

Post throttle cable

any suggestions on best or factory way to take up about 1/2" in slack at the throttle body on 97 4.6l v8?

You can use some plastic zip ties or some
lead split shot, the type used for fishing

thanks speeder: but where do you put the ties or split shot---athe top of the throttle crank channel or at the end of the cable? don't want the cable to roll or pop off of its track/channel. dan/renegade

I used a small bolt and nut and put them on the cable inside the passenger compartment. If you move the drivers seat all the way back you can get down there and see how the linkage works and there was movement before the slack was taken up. I could not find any adjustment under the hood so I went for taking out the slack.
