just installed a airaid fipk and have a 31/2" wide by 9" long cone k&n filter on it. Couldn't find the part number in the instrutions or on the filter. I know the drop in flter for 2001 f-150 5.4l s-cab is a e-0945 is it the same for this fipk?

I'm sorry, but what difference does it make? I mean the K&N filter has a million mile warranty (as long as you take care of it).
I wouldn't worry about it until I actually had to replace mine.

I just happened to be the type of idiot that would have an extra one on hand oiled and ready to change when i have too. I guess I like to waste money.---lol So I would still like to know. --guess I'll call airaid and find out.

Sounds like me. I waste more money on little things like that all the time. It would make sense though. Pull the dirty on off, put a new one on and wait six months before you have to clean it. Damn I just got an idea!!

Try K&N's site (if they have one) for a part number.
