Post Front end Lift F150...TIP

if your driveline angles exceed the maximun specification in the service manual, i dont recommend cranking up the torsion bars past that point....then you will have to install a kit the relocates the front differential... only crank up the torsion bars and keep it with in the spec..

The only change is the truck rides a little rougher...As far as the price, I dont know..if you have any friends working for ford maybe they could slip the torsion bars in as a warranty repair.. It sits and rides exactly like a f250 light duty...
good luck..

The problem with that is that you are not relocating the front diff. This causes SEVERE angles on the CV joints. I would be suprised if one lasted 10K with 3" of front lift like that.

if you crank up all the way on the torsion bars it is 1" taller than an f250 light duty, you have that option. The f250 light duty stock setting is 1 1/2" taller than the f150.

Bingo! I'm glad someone else here realizes you can't just crank the T-bars up to the stops and not expect it to cause wear and tear on the front drive train. There is a definate maximum adjustment. And if all else fails, read the manual.

BTW. Why is this in the Engines forum?

Hey 98fword, I have hellcats on my 1992 flarside. 15x10 with 33" BFG's. My wheels were literally falling apart! I called Centerline and told them what was happening, all they said they could do was have me send in the wheels and they would take a look at them. Do you know how much it costs to ship a wheel? Not to mention unmounting the tire!
I never sent them in, however, you have the third case of these wheel's being poor quality, I just might call the Better business bureau and see what they can do.
BTW: National Tire and Wheel gets no more of my business either.

Crotteau,

Actually, I've been in regular contact with Mark at NTW. He has been dealing with Center Line for me. Center Line told him the same thing as you. I told him Center Line needs to send me new wheels and prepaid return labels because I wasn't going to have the truck on jack stands while they jerked around, deciding whether or not they will do something with them. They refused. Mark at NTW is willing to do what it takes to make it right. They just don't have another wheel style I'm real fond of. I told him that whenever Mickey Thompson gets their mess together on the Classic II's, I'll take a set of those instead. He agreed. So I really can't complain about NTW too much. Mark has been to bat for me a number of times with Center Line. Unfortunately, Center Line isn't willing to give their customers an acceptable quality product. Or do what's right when it comes to defective products. Oh, well. I'll just make sure everyone I come in contact with knows what a third rate company Center Line is. I've done several posts on this ordeal in the aftermarket wheels and tires forum. I will be updating my web site soon with the latest info. Center Line needs to send someone to hang out at the Magnacharger facility to see how to treat their customers.

Keep in mind, the 16x8's for F-150's (5x135 bolt pattern) have a 5" back spacing. They won't work with most, if not all, suspension lifts without spacer plates and longer studs.

Man, I can't wait to get these off my truck! The more I think about it, the worse I hate them.
