Just remove the negative and turn your headlight switch on for about 5 minutes. This will drain all the energy completely.

Cool

Make sure that you turn off your headlights before you reconnect the battery !!

Flatlander,

Please explain why you have to turn on the headlights for 5 minutes.

Kindest regards

'Cause that's what the smart people on here say, I'm not very good with all the electrical, current, amperage, terms and stuff, so I don't really know why.

There are small electrical components in any computerized device called capacitors. These act as a tiny battery & store electric charge briefly. To discharge these, there has to be a discharge load, such as lights. Probably the hood light would be enough but headlights make sure as modern chips will run on near 0 volts.
