Question K&N Filter Question

I recently removed the K&N filter from my 2000 4X4 when I traded it for my new truck. When I took it out I noticed a small area at the top rim had pushed in causing the element to crumple a little. I tried to push it back into shape but it's still a little dented. It must have happened during installation in the first truck. Will this cause any problems if I install it this way in my new truck? I'll post a pic of it tomorrow to better show the damage.

I would say no, as long as it still seals against the airbox
