Taillights,

To get to the 300hp mark you will need many
aftermarket mods like a superchip (26hp), k&n FIPK (15hp), pullys (10hp), exhaust (10hp), headers (15hp), electric fans (10hp). These are optomistic numbers at the flywheel. To get 300 at the rear wheels you will need to think about a supercharger.

Thanks cruzer for your reply on this matter. From what i've read on a post the 4.6L connecting rods are a very weak link when it comes to superchargers!K&N fipk,3"exaust are givins for me i'm just wondering if the poweraide spacer and the fipk will generate more hp togeather than just the fipk&exaust also which is better hypertech3 programer or the superchip? being able to recalibrate seems kinda cool but not if you get more power thru the superchip! By the way how do you like the mod's you've done so far? how's your mileage?

Question

Before you do anything about a chip I would suggest you contact Mike Troyer at superchips. These guys really seeem to have it together. Mike's e-mail is mtroyer@compusrve.com.

Nuttin,

I am About 20-25 hp away from 300 at the crank. I am far from being done. How much do you want to spend? You could also post this question in Computer chips and Mike T will surely answer.

The mods I've done so far have made a nice improvement. I would like to get to 300hp so more work (uh, money) is needed. I think headers will be my next mod. My gas mileage has improved a little, like 1-2 mpg.
By the way, lots of people have supercharged their trucks without blowing motors. I think the tranny holding up is more of a concern.

Cool

Cruzer,Harley,JMC

Well guy's I have been reading alot of these posts and have noticed one thing overwelming around here everyone likes the the Superchip!,so I think it's a safe bet,but now Exhaust and FIPK i'm thinking air-raid because of the metal tube and better bracketing, along with a Gibson SS because it runs quiet while you get good gains. If you guy's see any potenial problems please let me know otherwise i'll send in my order and take the big wait til they arrive!

No blower for me cruzer too $expensive$ sounds like you have to strengthen almost every aspect of the drivetrain oh wait that sounds like fun Hmmm.Well Thanks again oh and I did get mikes # from his posts and already have my code written down ready to go thank's harley!
