Gas/Fuel ABG vacuum line

Does anyone know what the black flexible hose (labeled GAS/FUEL abg ) that connects to the top rear of the intake manifold and goes to a solenoid on the firewall of the drivers side?

Every minute or so im getting this loud whistle/air noise that lasts a few seconds and goes away..i can squeeze the hose while its whistling and the pitch changes..so i know its that hose..

any ideas?

bumping up a 10 year old thread. My 2006 F150 SuperCrew developed two splits in this hose. I'd like to know which part to order when I call my local Ford parts distributor tomorrow to order it. Anybody know what this hose is called? Mine is rubber with a flexible heat shield/conduit around it and two proprietary plugs on each end.

Without a picture hard to tell but sounds like an evap hose. Tasca parts usually has good diagrams for figuring out the correct part.(should be cheaper than your dealer also)

It's simply a Vacuum hose between the IMRC solenoid valve and Engine Intake Manifold.
