don't feel bad it happens to me too... I don't know why it does it... like first thing in the morning start it... stand on it.. and it's a dog then all of a sudden a surge of raw power after it feels like it hits jumps a gear or something...

I know this happens when the engine is cold in the morning . But it happens to me when Im driving and I try to pass someone on the freeway. The surge comes and goes when im on the gas. Its almost like its not getting the gas or air that it needs for its full power.

Question

Well do you suggest that we change our injectors? to a bigger one or smaller one? remember not all of us are engine smart so that is why I'm asking ?

Nacho & THH,

Leave the injectors alone, the 19# are fine. When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? Does the surge happen only at WOT, wide open throttle, or at all positions?
Does it happen only in gear, all gears or is it limited to one gear only?

Regards

Jean Marc Chartier

My fuel filter was changed about 5 months ago, the surge happens anytime from 1/2 to full throttle always in gear and in any gear.

Im going to change the fuel filter again! I noticed that the last fuel filter I put in was a Fram, Im going to the Ford dealer and picking up a Motorcraft filter. Let's see if this makes any difference.
