Post Bad sounds after off roading?

I went off road and was fooling around, and when I came back on the road the truck was making a buzzing sound. I stepped out and it was comming from somewhere in the engine compartment. When i turned the truck off...no sound, turned it back on then there was the buzzing....I drove home hoping that it was going to die on the way there and when i got out to check it again back home (10 minutes away) there was no buzzing, and I couldnt replicate it. To me it sounded like a metalic whine of somesort, but im no engine buff. Anyone got any ideas of what was up?

ilmagill,

Did you play in the water? If so how deep?
Did you hit anything? Get air and land hard?

No water, and no air, and did hit anything with the car. Just went hard and fast on some bumpy trail, got jarred a bunch. And ever since that day the cars been running perfect, like nothing happened at all.
