I have had three 4.6 DOHC Cobra Engines rebuilt in my shop, one is being work on right now as I type this. These engines can be rebuilt. Maybe you need to find better mechanics.

Bro, It sounds to me that your Mechanics are
giving you the run around....Why the hell
would a motor die with 60000. Do you realize
what you have to do to a motor to kill it
to the point you can't rebuild it...I'd get
a few more opinions...one time i bought a
truck with a really bad knock, the mechanic
told the owner it was a crank bearing, I paid 100.00 dollars for and replaced the head gasket....it ran till the day I sold it for
500.00
